Elizabeth Murray (1940-2007) was an american painter, printmaker, and draughtsman. She earned a BFA at the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Mills College. She reshaped Modernist abstraction into a high-spirited, cartoon-based, language including domestic life.
Raymond Georges Yves Tanguy, who goes by just Yves Tanguy was a French surrealist painter born in 1900 in France. His paintings are immediately recognizable because of his style. Most of them are abstract landscapes, with the occasional addition of colors for contrast. His works are sometimes described as "alien landscapes with various abstract shapes". Personally, I really like his style of painting, it shows creativity and imagination. \
