BAPO Chinese Art

BAPO Chinese Art:  a revolutionary style of Chinese art that emerged in the early 20th century, the unique style is unlike any other Chinese art. These paintings are created by painting depictions of fragments of different items, often images or calligraphy, on a single canvas or other surface.

Artists who use text in their work

  1. Marcel Duchamp Father of conceptual art, sculptor, painter, and pioneer in plastic art. Integrated objects and text intending to challenge the mind, not simply the eyes of the viewer. He aimed to create a "mythological effect" by asking viewer to understand how the original object has been changed by the presence of other objects and words.      2. Hamish Fulton London born artist who enjoys walking and the number seven, which reoccurs through his work as the "magic number". The titles of his work are often romantic and pastoral, recalling his observations and emotions through his many solitary rambles. Plain typography is often layered over photographs of the landscapes.
Hi! I'm Jamie, also commonly known as "that one crazy dog girl", due to my immense amount of love for dogs. Along with that photography, music, and writing are a few very important parts of my life. Sports were an interest of mine, but I've stepped away from that for a while. I have definitely tried a large number of different sports while growing up, but there were two that stood out. I was a gymnast for 12 years, and played softball for 2 years, now I am just attempting to focus mainly on school. English is my favorite subject and has been for a while, due to my love for reading and writing. In the future, I would like to go to a four-year college, studying Early Childhood Education somewhere local.
