Artists of Impressionism

Édouard Manet: he was a french painter, one of the first 19th-century artists to paint modern life,  he is a well-known figure in the transition from realism to impressionism, and he is a very controversial person to artists, but he overcome those views and was very successful.  Claude Monet: a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to air/landscape painting. Pierre-Auguste Renoir: a french artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. His paintings are known for their vibrant light and saturated color, most often focusing on people in intimate and candid compositions.  Edgar Degas: a French painter and sculptor, considered to be one of the major representatives of Impressionism due to his innovating  composition and his perspective analysis of motion.  ...

Boston Trip

Boston Museum of Science           I went to the Boston Museum of Science on Monday. I enjoyed the hands-on, up-close aspect of it, and I liked how much I was able to learn. We spent a large amount of time in the "green" hall, where it is mainly focused on physics. This area was especially hands-on, and we were able to really experiment with different things.
